black cats

I believe they're lucky,as I have two completely black cats and since I got them I have got a better job and had a couple of little lottery wins.

Black cats are definately lucky, I have the most beautiful black cat and my husband says we (me and my cat) talk more than me and him! She is so loving and knows if I'm feeling down then we "chat" I have six cats right now and over the length of my life have never not had a cat (Thanks Dad) but she is very special and brings so much love and happiness into our home. Who needs money anyway! Keep an eye on those cats and stay lucky. Tinks

I think all cats are lucky! I have two cats now but had three before Baby died. She was completely black and adorable.

The superstition derives from black cats being witches familiars and obviously, all witches and their familiars were associated with the devil and were therefore evil, so thats where this derives from. If youre in America, a black cat crossing your path is bad luck (because of the Puritans superstitions) and white cat is lucky, but In England a black cat crossing your path is considered lucky.

Apparently black cats (according to the RSPCA) are the hardest to rehome because of this silly superstition. If I could afford it, I would happily have another black kitty but Im slowly being adopted by a grey cat!
