Confused bot the afterlife

I've always wondered this,,,they say that we meet up with all our dead relative when we pass over llike grandparents and great grandparents but if we do all come back as someone else thats along time to hang around in the spirit world. I'd like to think i'll see my grandads and nan again and would be pretty cross if I pass over and there not there lol

yes, thats what im saying, i mean say they passed over when we 19, and we dont pass until were 101, are they guna stay in heaven all that time and wait? and what about our parents, and other family members. ohh i do need help on this, its hurting my head thinking lol.

Yes, I too am very confused about this.  I have never been all that convinced about reincarnation and have always hoped that we go to a much better place when we die.  Conventional christian beliefs don't mention this (I don't think).  I'd be interested to know what ideas other members have about this.

I'm confused as well.  Does time pass a lot more slowly in the spirit world, so when we're getting old and decrepit on the earth plane only a short time has passed where they are?  Thinking about reincarnation really does my head in.  I once asked a medium if, say in the case of a haunting that has been going on for hundreds of years at an old manor house for instance the person who is doing the haunting could have reincarnated many times over while some of their energy is still haunting the house they lived in.  He said he didn't know, but I've since read somewhere that as a haunting is caused by energy left behind they could well have done.  AAArgh!!! my brain hurts!!

I have'nt been able to find where it was I read the answer about this & its been bugging me ever since, as I have the same question. My dad's been in spirit 20yrs now & I too wondered if he reincarnated would I still receive messages from him. He does goes quiet for ages & I wonder what he's doing then see him sailing on a boat fishing, which is what he loved to do here, so I know he's enjoying himself at least !! Read & heard alot that you can manifest your surroundings in spirit, but then I also believe we have a counter part / fragment etc in another dimension in the future, also we will keep reincarnate until we've sorted out our karma & got it right then we aint got to come back here to the 3rd dimension earth. Hate to think how many times been here before LOL !!!

Here's one to make your head spin (well it does mine anyhow).  How many souls do you think existed originally, and what was there first, the earth plane or the spirit world?  Was there just one soul that we all came from and if so are we all related to each other in some way, like we all share genes with our parents and from our grandparents, and their grandparents ad infinitum do we all share a small part of each other's souls?  Hope you can understand this, I know what I mean but I'm not sure if anyone else does.

What I have heard and read about is the following,

there is no such thing as time in the spirit world. What could be 20 years to us feels like 2 minutes in the spirit world. 

So basically my great grandfather who died 30 years ago probably met my grandad up on the astral plane when he died 13 years ago yet it probably only felt like it was 30 minutes to my great grandfather.

As to the how many souls existed originally now that is a question and a half lol, probably quite a few in the form of human and animal. I would have to say most souls though have progressed from animal status to human status as time passed. And Spirit world definitely came first.

saying that I doubt if we will ever know the answers to the questions.

it is what most people would call a 'mind screw' lol, but now i think about it, i dont think i really want to know the answer, simply because it should stay as a mystery and the human shouldnt know everything about life and death, what would be the fun in that?

i think im going to wait until i go to spirit world and i would most prob find my answers then, but thanks everyone hu also expressed an interest, i bet now it has really got people thinking!! lol

well anyway, i have to say that where the first spirit came from? well now that is a question and a half lol

Now thats a question & half !! Depends in what you believe in really, do believe in soul groups & twin flames, so considering how many times the dna strands have split then yes alot of us could come from the same dna strand. As what was here first well, the spirit world is just another dimension parallel to ours, they too have to learn etc so they can progress up through the levels like we do here, agree there is no time in spirit. Also depends on whether you believe in other dimensional life which has been around for billions of years.     

hi before we are born , we are allowed to pick our mum and dad , and we have a thing like a diary , that we write ourselves to develop our souls , so if in a past life we were say rich and selfish , then when we are reborn , you can choose to be poor , and kind , so when we go to heaven once again we go on a higher plane , so that our spirit learns lessons , the only thing i cannot get my head around is people who harm kids , wots all that about ? i dont think thats any soul development ....i also hope i dont meet the man who murdered my sister back in 1974 , i think its what it says in the bible .... hell on earth !!! i think it doesnt get ant worse than this , why is all this war and killings going on ? and why is it that people cause people so much hurt ? i must have had a good life and been a right bitch in a past life , coz in this life now , i have learnt so many hard lessons , and they have been really hard work , but i do know i am a better person for it , and lets just say , im coming back rich ! , slim , an husband who treats me well and does not cheat , no worries at all , im coming back and having a fantastic life , if you can write your own diary up there , .... ive wrote mine now lol xxx

heya soulmate, that is really interesting, i did read somewhere bot earth being hell, so yhh i can see what you mean. so far i cant complain about life, but as a 19 year old i have had it easy. but in my next life i will prob b born a selfish man who has all the money in the world, i will be a none believer in everything and will b a complete snob, i will cheat and be dam right rude. but then again if that is what is guna happen, would rather stay in heaven lol. i also believe that everything happens for a reason, for example war. now im not guna go dep but i supoose if we didnt have any wars, we would never learn from our mistakes, some times i do think it is completely pointless, whats the point, but there must b a valueable lesson in there somewhere, as for you yourself, you sound as though u have had a umm... 'interesting' life, but im sure it would all get better, and at least you know where u stand, im talking bot the cheating husband btw. and you can do better. i just hope things turn out well for us all in the next life.

I believe in heaven, I believe in reincarnation, I believe in ghosts and I believe in 'historic footprints', in that something happens, it'll be remembered for a long time but will likely fade away eventually.

I believe when I die, one part of my soul will go to either a heaven or a hell, the part of my soul that is the true me. The second part of my soul will settle in a child waiting for a soul, i.e. being conceived. I believe that maybe I'll leave a 'footprint' somewhere that I love or hate or that touches me deeply. However when my soul divides in that way, I will never be me again, and this will be my only true chance in life to achieve what I desire as my next new soul will have new desires shaped by new experiences.

and another thing, if we all get what we want in the afterlife who gets George Clooney? lol. Well we can all dream can't we?

well angel, i think i should have mr clooney :D lolz, or maybe johnny depp. lol. but even so yhh i agree, do we all get want we wantwhen we want, cuz thay kind of aint fun. i would get bored and would want to 'work' to get my goals lol. maybe im the only one lol

well i guess to start with it would be alright, but after  while i prob would b bored lol, just siting around doing well, nufin...............

Hi Everyone,

Just reading various posts on this post "The Afterlife" and thought I would share some of my memories,  the "Afterlife" depends how you look at it.

I know this may sound absolutely nuts but I have had a before life experience and can actually pinpoint when I came here to Earth, I can actually remember specific things, my memory was not totally erased as it normally was, I don't know why that happened. 

I remember the moment I left the physical world in a past life before I came to this one. The last thing I remember is wanting and needing to go to someone because I didn't want to leave them behind so my concern was that they would be left alone and what would they do without me?

My next thought after I calmed down was "here we go again" then I remember meeting my Nan saying "do you know who this is?" she was introducing me to my daughter and they both looked the same in spirit world and down on this Earth. I gave birth to my daughter in my mid thirties so I knew she needed to be born.

I remember falling through a parting in the clouds and saw a man who I loved immensely fall before me, I sent him a message saying that I will find him again when I could.            I remember flying here and being afraid of heights I was sure I was going to fall, I hated heights then and I hate heights now! But I was flying and the nearer my destination the quicker I flew then suddenly I remember being in a cot and looking down at myself thinking in an adults voice that "this was it"! I was back down again.  

I remember knowing how to do play Scrabble and how to play a piano, I remember seeing Cliff Richard on TV when very young but couldn't put my thoughts or what I knew into practice, my body was too young to follow through with any actions apart from crying out of sheer frustration.

And that is up to now what I remember. The spirit world is not a boring place and through this knowledge of what I remember I have been able to help people. This has prove invaluable to me in my life and although I hate growing older and losing my independence I have no fear of dying at all. As for my memory...mine's like an elephant's...I remember!
