Hi! I think a medium is someone who can communicate with the dead and a clairvoyant is someone who can see into the future and tell fortunes. I'm not certain about it but I think that's what the difference is.

Hi yes agree with the above. The word clairvoyant comes from french word "clair" for clear and "voyant" which means seeing. You also as well get clairaudient - those that can hear and clairsentient - those that sense.

I thought mediums can be clairvoyant as well as communicating with the dead, but I don't know if all clairvoyants could also be mediums.

Hi there, at the spiritualist church the mediums would bring through people in spirit but some would give info relating to the person or some future stuff. I have had a couple of readings from psychics and neither gave me any people from spirit or my guides. The way I've always been taught is that a psychic works from the solor plexus chakra, linking with a person on a psychic level, which is stuff going on with the person the here & now & future stuff. When linking with spirit you are working on a higher vibration and work more with your higher chakra's. However some people are able to give psychic messages as well as messages from spirit etc.

 

I think I remember Colin Fry saying on his programme the Sixth Sense, that all mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums.  Hope he'll forgive me if I've got that wrong, but I'm sure that's it.
