I find it very very difficult to meditate ie I cannot visualise. I just bought Jenny Smedley pastlife CD and it is very relaxing but you guessed it still cannot visualise at all. When I close my eyes I see nothing just black. What I was wondering is [1] could it be that I cannot visualise in this lifetime as I closed myself down due to a traumatic event in a past life and [2] I have been advised by several people that I am a healer and that is my gift I would like to do reiki but I have a feeling you must be able to visualise for the symbols etc., Do you think that I may have had some gifts in a previous lifetime and due to some event closed everything down completely and if so how would I reconnect with my abilities if I had any that is.

Hi there, stop being so hard on yourself, trying too hard you end up blocking yourself. When I sat in circle a few years back there was a man who was a wonderful healer, he had sat in another circle for 3 years and never saw anything, he never gave up. When he joined our circle he gradually began to see, he runs his own healing centre & has done clairvoyance evenings at churches too, so don't give up. Sometimes I have difficulty seeing anything at times & another its like watching a movie.
