Man up a chimney?
I was talking with some friends the other day about odd experiences when I recalled something that happened to a friend and I many years ago when we were on a school trip to an old castle. It was Bodiam Castle near Hastings I think. There wasn't much left of it, just a few stone walls and part of a chimney. We looked up the chimney, it was stone which had been bleached almost white with age and we could see bright blue sky at the top. Suddenly I saw something dark on the stonework and my friend had obviously done the same as we both grabbed each others arms and chorused 'Can you see that?' We both replied 'Yes' and stood gawping up the chimney for several minutes before speaking again. We'd both seen the same thing, the head and somewhat further down than the shoulders of a man whose image was black against the bleached stonework, and looked almost like a charcoal drawing. He had below shoulder length hair and a long, thin moustache that went down to his chin. The image had remained stationary for several minutes and both of us had looked away thinking it was just soot then looked back again and he was still there. He vanished as quickly as if someone had flicked a switch and when we looked up the chimney again there were no soot marks to be seen. After lunch, we were taken to a small museum nearby and as soon as we walked in the door we grabbed each other again and shrieked 'Oh my God, it's that man!' Hanging on the wall at the end of the room was a large brass rubbing of a previous lord of the castle and beside him one of his lady. He was depicted in his armour in the rubbing, which we didn't notice when we saw his image up the chimney, but it was definitely the same man's face, moustache and long hair. So what happened? I don't think we saw a ghost, so was it a bit of clairvoyance? It looked like a charcoal drawing and we later saw a brass rubbing on the museum wall? It still puzzles me now.

What an amasing experience, talking about stonework, a while back while looking at a lady's website whose book I'd read, she had some pictures of a monastry in France she had brought & was doing up. Anyway one of the pic's showed a doorway knocked out in the outside wall & straight ahead inside on the brickwork you could see as clear as day this monk, you could see full details of his head, face, hair, his shoulders & clothing. I could only guess that he at one time had been a monk there & his energy had been imprinted in that room on the wall.

Perhaps that's what happened to us. The man had obviously lived there at some time and his energy had imprinted. It was just weird that we both saw him at the same time and he looked like a charcoal drawing. I've been with others before and some or one of us have seen something and others haven't.
I once saw a woman in a friend's house, she was in sepia tones and was standing in front of a wardrobe. I first saw her out of the corner of my eye and spoke to her thinking it was my friend who had come back upstairs. It wasn't because she shouted up the stairs "Who are you talking to up there on your own. Have you seen something?" I had to admit I had. I'd thought it was my friend at first because she had waist-length hair which was the first thing I noticed, but she had long old fashioned clothes on and a long apron. She said she knew about it but had never seen the lady, but some other visitors had seen her materialise in the middle of one of the downstairs rooms when they were sat around watching the tele.
I wonder if some of us give off more electrical energy than others and that is what causes whatever we are seeing to appear. Perhaps the fabric of a building acts as some sort of storage medium and our energy causes a replay like a video recorder or something.
What do you think? Any ideas?

I don't think I'm exceptionally psychic to be honest, and I certainly wouldn't be able to do anything professionally. I definitely wouldn't want to be a medium either. Some of the experiences reported in Fate and Fortune by mediums would scare me to death to be honest, you'd be open to the darker side of things as well as the light and I'd be terrified which would make matters worse I'm sure. I can write about my experiences on here because I don't have to use my real name, but having been bullied for most of my childhood and teens and mid twenties for my 'gift' (or curse) I don't feel inclined to advertise the fact really.

Energies what a vast subject that is! Obviously you get places where there are ghosts or imprints of a person, & they might be seen or felt, maybe they are stuck & chose not to move on or they had such strong ties or a hold on a place that their essence can be seen/felt there.
Some people are very lucky to be able to see spirit materialise infront of them, others see in their mind (third eye) and others never see anything. Everyone has the ability to be psychic or to give healing to someone, everyone has the capability, for we are all spirit & we are all a pulsing energy, just a case of opening up to it.
You always hear that alot of young children see spirit, but then from the age of 7, it either stays with them or fades away. When a medium is giving a message they like to hear the recipients voice as this stengthens the connection with the person they are communicating with in spirit, energies comes into play alot.
When doing healing your spirit guides use you as a channel & the energy is passed through into the patient & it will go to where it is needed. You can send absent healing to someone again your linking into an energy & sending it, the person could be on the other side of the world it does not matter.
Sunday just gone funny thing happened, I was on here writing messages & reading the threads, when I felt as if my partner had walked in the door & said god you still on there are you & it made me jump abit, anyway at the time he was at church. When he came home he asked whether I'd felt him around & I told him what I'd felt, he was so pleased, as while at church he sent healing to me & in his mind he saw me sat at the computer on fate & fortune & stood beside me jumping up & down shouting at me that he was here!!! So there, that just shows how you can send your consciousness to someone.
Anyway thats enough of me waffle can't think if I've answered your question hope I have.

Rozanna, I find your experience a weird one but I beleive that it is true. Personally, I don't want to have a so called "third eye" since I don't want to be bold of the mysteries that are happening on the surroundings and if it happens I am willing to take my personal loan to look for a professional to close it. But one thing I believe so, God does exist and no one can harm me even those mysteries that I fear of.
