Hi all, Nearly two years ago on February 3rd 2008, I suffered a miscarriage, I had been 3 months pregnant. It devastated me. I went to the hospital and had scans etc to check that everything was ok. They told me to phone them if I became ill or was worried about anything. Three days later,February 6th 2008, after having been to the loo, I noticed blood streaming down my legs and at first thought, oh, It must be the last remnants of the miscarriage, and thought the bleeding would stop soon. A couple of minutes later, the bleeding was still running down my legs and I started to panic. I found the number to the hospital and phoned them, they told me to open my front door and lay on the sofa and they would send paramedics to come and take me to hospital. My husband was out working and my mum was looking after my 2 year old daughter to give me a rest, and my older daughter was staying away, so I was alone in the house. So I unlocked the door and lay on the sofa and the paramedics soon arrived and took me to hospital. I lay in the a&e for some time while they tried to get me to a specialist area, but all the time I could feel the blood coming out of me. A nurse came and gave me IV fluids. After some time I became very agitated and was feeling a lot of pain. They came and moved me to a specialist area and said a doctor would come. I waited and waited, by this time I was becoming hysterical. The doctor soon came, a young female doctor and a nurse and they asked me a lot of questions about what had happened, when they checked me, they must have realised just how much blood I had lost, because they suddenly looked worried and put out a call for a surgeon to try to stop the blood flow. When the surgeon finally arrived he tried to stop the blood flow, but the pain was too much for me and I started to have a crushing pain in my chest and thought I could not take any more. I closed my eyes and felt myself floating out of my body, like a worm coming out of its shell. I was still aware of my surroundings though. I felt an amazing sense of peace and thought 'wow, this is a great feeling'. I was floating above my body but was aware of my lifeless body lying below with the doctors and nurses scurring around it. I remember thinking that my body looked very blue in colour. I continued floating away up, away from the scene below, still very aware of what was happening and still a great sense of tranquility. A womans voice suddenly spoke to me and told me that if I went any further that I would not be able to go back, and that I had to decide what I was going to do. Just at that very moment, I heard one of the nurses shout 'Tell me that names of your daughters, Tell me the names of your daughters'. I suddenly thought, oh no, I cant leave my daughters without a mother! I cant leave them to grow up without me being there!' So I said to the voice, 'I will have to go back' and the voice told me,'It wont be easy if you go back'. Although it was a wonderful feeling being in that place, I just could not leave my daughters alone. 'I'm going back'!, I thought. I had to concentrat every hard to get back into my lifeless body, it wasnt easy to get back in as it had been coming out, but eventually I made it and managed to slip back it. I felt the cold of my body again and soon the pain was back. I opened my eyes and saw all the faces looking at me. The young female doctor was standing near my feet and she was shaking. I remember feeling sorry that I had obviously scared her. 'My daughters names are Laura and Sophie.' I stammered. Everyone just looked amazed and shocked at what I had just said. 'We thought we had lost you'. a doctor said. 'You had turned completely blue!.' They took me to the theatre and operated and stopped the blood flow. When I came to. The same doctor who had told me that I had turned blue. asked ' How did you know what had been said, we thought we had definately lost you?' I answered 'I was floating above you's and heard what you were saying'. The doctor just looked at me confused. I do not fear death now, as I know that we go on to something that feels wonderful. Anyway has anyone else had an experience like this ?

NEAR DEATH OR OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCES
Hi Louisa So sorry about your miscarriage. Glad you are physically recovered now. I've not had a near death experience, but have had out of the body experiences since I was very young. Well, I think that's what they were, I'd suddenly find myself walking or floating around the house at night, I'd be able to walk through walls, but if I tried to touch anything or pick anything up my hands would go straight through. As I got older I'd be aware of leaving my body (something I'd not been aware of when very young). If I was lying in bed, I'd rise up towards the ceiling quite fast, I'd start to panic a bit then because I thought I was going smack my nose on the ceiling but I never did - I'd put my hands out to stop the ascent then push myself upright. If I looked down I could see myself lying in bed, I knew it was me, yet all my thoughts and feelings were with the body that was floating up near the ceiling not with the one in the bed. When I was younger I liked to do acrobatics whilst floating, I could turn somersaults and put my feet over my head something I could never manage to do in real life. One night I found myself standing on an airfield, it was windy and I could feel the wind in my face and through my hair. Another time I went back to where I used to live and walked along the seafront. I've also gone out through the top of the roof before and felt a slight sensation that I can't really describe as I passed through it. I used to have a lot of these experiences until I was in my late forties but don't seem to get very many now though in my late fifties. I had one a couple of years ago whilst having Reiki, but just saw myself lying on the couch, I didn't go anywhere. I think the strangest ones I had were when I found myself back in my parents house in Kent. I was standing beside their bed on Dad's side when I became aware of his Mother standing alongside me. I thought "Oh my God Nan's gone" and shouted out "Dad!!" I woke up to hear him calling my name. The clock said about three in the morning. Later that evening I phoned Dad and he said he'd had a weird dream in which someone had shouted out his name. He said he didn't know who it was then said they had shouted "Dad" so it must have been me. I said it was and I'd heard him call my name too. We both agreed on the time. He said his Mum had been ill during the night, but was OK now. I said "Did she die for a short time?" Apparently she had for a couple of minutes. He said how on earth did I know that and I said that she'd been standing beside me looking at him and Mum lying in bed. An even odder one was when my Mum died in 2006. Dad and I had left the hospital about 8pm and gone home. I was sleeping downstairs on a put up bed and suddenly found myself floating beside Mum's hospital bed. Previously a friend had done magnified healing with her and had put a pyramid of purple light around her in her bed. Looking down I could see the pyramid glowing and saw Mum's spirit, astral body or whatever people call it floating somewhere between the bed and the top of the pyramid an umbilical cord of pale silvery white light connecting it to the physical body in the bed. The spirit body had a human form but was shades of luminous blue and silver with tiny pinpricks of light twinkling within it. Slowly the top of the pyramid opened and Mum's spirit just rose up and out of the top of the pyramid and the silvery cord was absorbed into it. As she went I felt a really weird sensation travel right through me, all my body cells were tingling, and my whole body just relaxed, it was like a long, drawn out sigh and I lay there for a few moments then thought "Mum's gone!" I jumped up just as the phone started to ring, and ran to answer it at the same time as Dad. It was about 5 past 7 in the morning. We both knew what it was Mum had passed at around 7. I don't know what caused it, but would think it had something do do with the fact that as we were Mother and daughter and children share some of their parents cells, I felt her body and brain cells shutting down at the moment of passing. I don't know. She hasn't gone far away though, Dad and I still see her around, which is rather nice I think. Does having out of the body experiences run in families do you think, as my Mum used to have them as well (well it sounds like she did) she'd find herself floating up to the ceiling, but never had the nerve to look down. Hi Rozanna
Thanks for your kindness. I have not told many people what happened to me, as they look at me as if I have gone mad! It feels good to tell people here as I know there are people who believe that there is more than just our physical bodies. It must be strange for you to have had so many experiences. It is good that you still see your mother around though. Take care from Louisa

OUT OF THE BODY EXPERIENCES
Hi Louisa Thanks for your reply. I haven't told that many people about my experiences either, for much the same reason as you. I made that mistake when I was a child and then a teenager and was bullied about it well into adulthood. I've had many strange experiences for as long as I can remember, as a child I just assumed everyone was the same. I think these things sometimes run in families. Mum used to know what was going to happen, though she had never seen anything, her mother knew what was going to happen, as did her mother, and her mother. It seems to have passed quite a way through the female line on Mum's side as I've recently discovered Mum's step sister saw her mother after she'd died, and several cousins have also seen things as well. Maybe it comes from having Romany blood several generations back on Mum's side. Seeing things used to scare the hell out of me when I was very young, and I can't say I'm that comfortable with it all the time now. I don't mind writing about it on the Forum as I can use another name and be anonymous on here. I've been contacted by one of the editors ref publishing a couple of my experiences in the magazine, but I'll have to turn them down as I didn't realise you had to have your real name and a photo appearing, I'm glad someone found some of my experiences interesting - but there's no way I'd want my name and photo in a magazine like this I'd be terrified of being picked on again. Dad sees Mum around sometimes as well still and has even had a few odd experiences himself since she passed, he was never like this before, although he did used to hear footsteps across the living room ceiling at home years ago, but he has now seen Mum, his elder sister, my maternal 2 x great grandmother and a man in a dark coat in the house. When I was about 7 or 8 I ran up the stairs and collided with a middle aged lady who was coming down, she was solid and it knocked the wind out of me - I was so shocked I slipped and fell down the last few steps. As a teenager I went up the stairs and almost ran into a man in dark clothes walking down, I grabbed hold of the banister to stop myself falling as I took action to avoid a collision. I don't know who these people were, but they certainly weren't flimsy. Mind you I don't think I've ever seen anything that I could see through, they've all looked quite substantial until they've disappeared. Why I see them I have no idea, it's just how I am I suppose. Well that's enough I think, I could bore for England once I get started, it's good for me to find other people with similar experiences. Take care. Rozanna

Hi Rozanna
Wow ! Your stories are not boring at all. I think it is amazing. Have you ever considered going to a psychic development class to find out answers ? It must be the romany blood true enough! A lot of crazy things have also happened to me from when I was young. I do not understand though as I do not have any romany blood at all in my family and I seem to be the only one . Sometimes when someone is talking to me if they are wondering about something that is going to happen in their future, I will suddenly get a 'picture' in my head and I can tell them what is going to happen to them, I just seem to 'know'. I moved into an old victorian house two years ago and kept seeing the last occupant who was an old man who had died of a heart attack in the house. (As I asked our next door neighbour, who had knew him.) He kept sitting on our chairs or I would suddenly see him standing, staring at me! He did not seem to be threatening though, so I just accepted that he was just keeping an eye on us as we were changing a lot to his old house, he must have liked it because I do not see him any longer, but I get a sense of someone following me about. It would be great for someone to explain it all to me, why I sense and sometimes see things that most other people do not. Anyway keep telling your stories, as they are great !! Take care from Louisa.

Hi Louisa

Hi Louisa

Just found my way back to your reply.  Sorry it's taken so long, I don't always have a lot of time for chatting on here.  I did think about finding a development class many years ago, but I was only a teenager then and my parents soon stopped that idea.  I've never really bothered since then to be honest.  Some of the scary stories in Fate and Fortune and other similar mags put me off (I'm the world's worst coward I'm afraid).  I don't think you need Romany blood to see or know things, and I've found that some people (my Dad in particular) who had never seen anything in his life and would ridicule anyone who had, suddeny find they have the 'gift' (or curse).  Dad only started seeing things since Mum died in 2006.   He did hear footsteps in the house occasionally, he said but as the house was once 2 flats didn't twig for a while until they then rented the whole house.  Once they had one of the downstairs rooms as their living room he and mum heard heavy footsteps passing across the ceiling and into the bedroom.  He thought it was the people upstairs, then suddenly realised they were the people upstairs.  He still hears noises upstairs, sometimes like someone is moving things around, but nothing has ever moved.  A few weeks ago he was lying in bed one night when something jumped onto the bed, walked actoss him then jumped down the other side and landed with a thud on the floor.  He switched the light on straight away, thinking he'd shut a neighbour's cat in but the bedroom door was shut and there was no sign of any animal.  He said later that it felt too heavy for a cat, and the paws felt different through the covers.  It happened twice, and he thinks it was Tim the old mongrel dog we had years ago.  He did that to me once as well, I heard a noise, opened my eyes and saw Tim just about to land on me.  He still sees Mum occasionally, sometimes he sees someone  out of the corner of his eye, but when he turns around no-one is there.  He said he thinks it's Mum as well and it doesn't bother him at all.  I've seen things for such a long time now I think I'm as used to it as I'm ever going to be, though not entirely comfortable with it always.  I had two separate sightings of a person last year, one whilst travelling in a friend's car with another friend present.  We were coming down a hill when I saw a man's shape in a dark jacket crossing the road at the bottom, the driver didn't appear to have seen him so I shouted 'Watch that man!'  'What man?' they both said.  'That one' I said .  'Where?'  Oooer, He's just walked through the wall at the other side of the road.'   No-one else saw him and the other passenger in the car is very psychic, and she very often sees things, so don't know why she didn't see him.  The other one was when I was walking up the road that led to our street, when I saw a dark male figure walk across the road about 100 yds ahead of us and disappear into a wall.  My husband didn't see anything at all.  He couldn't have come from where he started as that was a wall bordering a garden and he disappeared into the wall of a house opposite.  There is no gate in the wall so he couldn't have gone in there.  Maybe it was some sort of residual energy, as the house wall it came from was the garden of a bungalow beside it, the house having been built probably less than 20 yrs ago and where the house wall it vanished into now stands (a terrace of 3 houses) was a builders yard when I moved to the area 30 yrs ago.   Personally, I think most people are psychic in some way or another.  More of us are than aren't I reckon.  Can't explain why some spend most of their lives unaware then suddenly it hits them right between the eyes.  I expect someone on this website will be able to explain it though.  Hope I haven't put any odd words in, I've just had a cat's behind parked on my keyboard, one of our 3 jumped onto the desk walked across the keyboard then parked her bum on top of it which doesn't help my typing very much, or the keyboard which is now covered in black and white fur, as is my face as she's now rubbed herself across my face as she walked across the keyboard before jumping down again.

Best wishes.

Wow!  What a pity you won't share your experiences in the magazine, it would make amazing reading.  Can't anyone persuade you?

Your Experiences

Hi angel1

Sorry, I just can't publish anything in the magazine. I am quite a shy person and I'm fine writing anonymously on here but having my real name and a photo published - no way!!  I was bullied so much in the past as a child, teenager and young adult for talking about some of my experiences that I'd never advertise myself in any magazine.  I had stones thrown at me on the way to and from school and lumps of ice hurled at my head which luckily shattered against a wall I was walking past spraying fragments into my face, but not causing any injury although I'm in my 50s now and not living in the same area, I wouldn't want to be identifiedf. I'm sure that other family members and friends would hate the idea as well because then they'd be identifiable too.  If anyone is interested in reading my waffle on here (as I told someone on here before I can waffle for hours and bore for England when I get started) then that's OK. It's good to find others who have had similar experiences though.

Thanks for your comments.

Hi Rozanna! So sorry to hear about the bullying and I understand why you don't want to be identified.  Couldn't you do it anonymously?  If not please continue to share your experiences on the forum, I'm sure we would all be very interested. Love and Light.

Your Experiences

Hi Angel1

No I couldn't do it anonymously, I had an email from the editor asking to publish one of my experiences, but I turned it down as she said they needed real names plus a photograph which would obiously identify me, and as some of my experiences involve family members seeing my mugshot published would make them known as well.  They would not be happy about that.  I couldn't make up a photo from a mixture of several others, as it would probably count as fraud.  I don't mind writing on the forum though as long as I don't have to use my real name.
