Scary Psychic Reading
Hi, I am new to the Forum but have been reading the magazine for some time now, being a true believer in all things psychic. Some years ago, I went to see a local medium ( I had been told by several people beforehand that he was quite accurate in his readings). All went well and he relayed several bits of information which he seemed to be spot on with and I was pleased about - however towards the end of the session, he mentioned that I would not have a long life, perhaps only living to middle age. I am now in my mid-forties and not in the best of health and find that his prediction is beginning to play on my mind. Several people I have spoken to about this have told me not to worry about it as a true medium should not have told me such a thing. I would welcome any comments or advice as I am finding it very hard to put his words to the back of my mind.
Hi, I am also like you new to the forum and have been reading Fate and Fortune for years. In my belief like many who have told you the medium is not really allowed to tell you such things unless it is a way to prevent it occuring. i.e change of diet/lifestyle.
About 12 years ago I had a reading from a reputable medium and like you had quite an accurate reading then he told me I would end up in a wheelchair at some point. I accepted this and thought 'right well if I'm gonna end up in a wheelchair then I'm gonna make the most of my ability to walk beforehand'
Now, at the age of 43, I am having mobility problems and at times it is painful for me to walk. If I over do it then I feel it for days afterwards but I think well at least I can still do it.
My advice for you is make the most out of life. Go get checked out at the doctors and if there is any lifestyle/dietry changes to make to help you life a long and happy life then do so. But most of all live like you have never lived before. Do things that you have always wanted to do.
As for the reading, don't let it play on your mind, readings are guidelines for us and we can change things that they tell us. Most of the readings are to guide us along the right path or nudge us onto other paths. Nothing is set in stone. That is what free will is all about.
He also told me that my nephew was going to be famous (he is stuck in a dead end job now, married with a new baby girl) and he told me my niece was going to be a nurse, she abandoned her education and now has bipolar, she is with a boy who is violent and she has just had a baby boy. These things may change back to what the reading said and I do hope in my nieces case it does but until then I am there for my niece as a support.
Take care Sarah and please do not worry. Blessings Lynn
Hi
Thanks Lynn for your very kind words, they are a great comfort. Your comments about the reading providing guidance only really made me think about changes I should have made long ago - I know that for some time now, I have needed to address aspects of my diet in particular, especially as I have diabetes which has not been under control for the past few years. It is hard, but I will try to put my efforts into living life and concentrating on being well rather than worrying about what might be.
Thanks again and take care,
Sarah
