HELP! I'M HAUNTED...

Think your house is haunted? Every month, medium and ghost hunter Philip Solomon sorts out your spooks

Wendy Blease turned to Philip Solomon for help after she started seeing spirits peering in at her windows, including the ghostly figure of a nun.

In May’s ‘Help! I’m Haunted… ’ column, he told Wendy that there had once been an alley or tunnel near her home that was used by people visiting a Cistercian abbey. He also picked up on the secret affair between a monk and a nun, which may have ended in murder.

Philip believed a monk had visited Wendy’s house in the past but, although his energy wasn’t very nice, he had since moved on.

Now, though, Philip could confirm that there was a nun, dressed in white robes and a wimple, who would help Wendy through a difficult period in her life.

Philip warned Wendy of the dangers of smudging her house with sage, as it can stir up and bring spirits forward, just as easily as it can help them move on. Instead, he suggested she burn a little sea salt in each room.

Here’s what Wendy said afterwards:

‘Roach Abbey, a Cistercian monastery, is just a few miles from my home and there are tunnels leading to and from the Abbey, some of which can still be seen.

‘Strangely, although I’m not a fully developed medium, I am sensitive to spirit and actually picked up on the links between the nun and monk that Philip described. In fact, I was convinced the spirit was jealous of my husband and me.

‘I now think one of the figures I kept seeing outside was the monk Philip described. When I cleansed the outside with sage I started sensing him inside too, so I think I bought the spirit forward, as Philip warned.

‘I’ll certainly be more careful of smudging with sage in the future and I look forward to finding out how the nun is going to help me.

‘Philip was right, the last few years have been difficult for me, but I’m ready to start feeling more positive with the help of this friendly spirit.

Thank you Philip. What a fantastic reading!’
